The Council does not have a policy. The Council meets the requirements of the Human Rights Act 1993 to not discriminate also inline with the Recreation Aotearoa guidelines.
Q6: If applicable, do your facilities allow trans-identifying males to attend Women Only swim sessions?
Not applicable.
Our Verdict
Using the Recreation Aotearoa Guidelines means gender identity is prioritised over sex, bad news for women. Their signage needs to be updated to reflect the reality, it is currently misleading,
