Q1: Do you provide communal single-sex changing and showering facilities?

Yes

Q2: Do you provide single occupancy changing and showering facilities? If so, how many at each site?

Yes, we have 5 shower cubicles with doors and a disability shower cubicle in the men’s bathroom. We have 2 toilet cubicles and 2 urinals in the men’s. We have 5 shower cubicles with doors and a disability shower cubicle in the ladies bathroom. We have 3 toilets (assuming these are cubicles) in the ladies’ bathroom. We also have 2 family bathrooms and a separate disability-changing room.

Q3: Please provide any policies or procedures that apply to trans-identified people who wish to use the changing and showering facilities in your sites.

We make the family bathroom available to our trans-identified people. We believe this practice is best suited for the trans-identified community and the general public.

Q4: How are your different changing and showering facilities labelled and described?

Our bathrooms are sign boarded as men’s, ladies, family, and disability.

Q5: At your sites, which changing room and showering facilities is a trans-identified male permitted to use?

We have 2 family bathrooms available for our trans-identified community.

Q6: If applicable, do your facilities allow trans-identifying males to attend Women Only swim sessions?

Swim sessions are attended through private hires and managed by private swim entities.

Our Verdict

good to have a policy in place, but who takes precedence: family or trans person?
