Yes, we have single sex changing rooms with individual showering facilities in them.
Q2: Do you provide single occupancy changing and showering facilities? If so, how many at each site?
Yes, we have 10 single occupancy changing and showering facilities available to our customers.
Q3: Please provide any policies or procedures that apply to trans-identified people who wish to use the changing and showering facilities in your sites.
We do not currently have a policy as we believe that we have the facilities available to cater to all people.
Q4: How are your different changing and showering facilities labelled and described?
Male, Female, and the single use facilities are just labelled changing rooms.
Q5: At your sites, which changing room and showering facilities is a trans-identified male permitted to use?
This isn’t an occurrence that we have come across however if a customer did identify to our customer service team, we would direct them to the individual use changing rooms.
Q6: If applicable, do your facilities allow trans-identifying males to attend Women Only swim sessions?
Currently we don’t host women only swimming sessions.
Our Verdict
Looks like Timaru District Council is trying to do their best to provide somewhere for everyone.
